Ordered too much, or something not right? Here's how returns work. If anything's unclear, call the trade desk on 0121 769 1530 and we'll sort it.

This is a working outline of our returns process. The final policy — including exact timescales, charges and your statutory rights — is being confirmed and may change.
Returning unused materials
Unused materials in their original, resaleable condition can usually be returned within 30 days of delivery. Get in touch first so we can raise a return and arrange collection or drop-off at the Birmingham depot.
A re-stocking charge and collection cost may apply to change-of-mind returns. We'll confirm any charges before you commit.
Damaged or faulty goods
Check your delivery on arrival. If anything arrives damaged, short or faulty, let us know within 48 hours with a photo and your order number and we'll replace it or refund it — at no cost to you.
Items we can't take back
- Cut-to-size, mixed or made-to-order products.
- Bagged products that have been opened or part-used.
- Materials that have been used, installed or weathered on site.
- Special-order lines brought in specifically for you.
How to start a return
Email trade@materials2u.co.uk or call 0121 769 1530 with your order number and what you'd like to return. We'll raise the return, confirm any charges, and arrange collection or drop-off. Refunds are processed to your original payment method or trade account once the goods are back and checked.
